SUMMON/SUPPORT NAME - Vaughan ('vo-can'), Maelstrom, Saffron & Yvette ('ee-vet').
ANIMAL - Maned wolf
RANK - B
USER - Orochi Ihara
DETAILS -Appearance - Maned wolves are blessed with thick, ruffled fur that hues the deep shade of reddish-orange, the colour of an aging sunset horizon while their underbellies are a pure white. In addition to this, their delicate muzzles and keen ears tinged with black. Their long, slender legs are also a dark black that lightens near their joints, giving them the appearance of wearing socks. They're really beautiful and one of a kind, a little bit like wolf-foxes on stilts. Maned wolves also appear graceful yet sturdy, despite their lanky frames.
Vaughan has a squared face with a white-tipped tail, and spans about twice the height of an average human adult male. A long, jagged scar stretches from his left shoulder down to his farthest ribs. Vaughan's pelt is smooth and sleek, mimicking the colour of burnt cinnamon. He has dark emerald green eyes, just because I love describing eye colours.
Yvette is still a pint-sized baby in wolf-years, and owns a pelt that is still a concentrated colour of deep chocolate brown that will dilute to bright orange in time. She isn't as heavily built as Vaughan, having thin shoulders and a skinny tail. But she's still a warrior. Yvette's the size of one of those puppies that chicks stuff into their Louis Vuitton bags or down their sweaters.
Child-like and adorable in appearance, with a demure feel to her observant stance. Her eyes are a pale orange.
Saffron's neatly groomed, short pelt is a mixture of rich orange and burnt red, although the red dominates most of his fur. His build is fairly muscular yet he moves with a distinct feline-like grace. His black-tipped ears are pricked with tense alertness at all times, and his moss-green occuli are often darting about. He's a young adult that stands a little over a metre tall.
Maelstrom is a maned wolf whose passed moons stretch longer than Vaughan's. Once beautiful, she is now elderly and her fur is patchy. Her muzzle is silvery from age and the rest of her thick pelt is graying with senility. Despite her fading beauty; her shoulders stay sturdy, her paws are nimble and her pale blue eyes are filled with a sort of determination that could never be extinguished with lost youth. Over the countless years; the she-wolf has accumulated a nick over her left ear, a helping of scars, and half a missing tail.
PERSONALITYVaughan - He's the leader of the pack, and quite proud of it too. A long-range thinker, ambitious, aggressive and traditional - he was the obvious choice for the pack when time came to decide on a new leader. Vaughan is practical, dependable and extremely passionate about the most important aspects of his life - such as fighting and loyalty. In fact, he is very quick to unsheathe his claws for the sake of protecting his pack's reputation, or the life of his summoner.
Yvette - She moves through her surroundings with rounded eyes filled with a childlike curiosity. Yvette prefers to keep to herself and only speaks quietly when needed, yet she speaks with the quiet wisdom of one who has heard and seen all. This fox-wolf detests needless violence, and will only lend her abilities when absolutely needed in the heat of battle. Yvette absolutely refuses to kill under any sort of circumstance, even if her own life is at stake.
Saffron - He's disinterested at the best of times. Saffron can hardly fix his attention to anything for more than a few seconds before sweeping away to bat his paw at a fallen leaf. He's easily bored and normally irritated by his surroundings, due to lacking any sense of beauty or even responsibility. In order to get Saffron to do something for you, you'll probably have to offer food or a squeaky toy.
Maelstrom - A good, earthly she-wolf who is drawn to those in need. She is compassionate, empathetic, and protective to all who she respects. Maelstrom holds a well developed moral code that she will follow to the ends of the world. She is more than willing to become a martyr for her causes, and is deeply concerned of the well-being of others. However, this is hardly ever seen, as she hides her softness under a very very very thick, cement-hard layer of quick temper and sharp attitude. She is apt absolutely loathe any person or anything who even lightly brushes against her boundaries, and good luck getting once once you're on her bad side.
ABILITIESLike all dogs, the maned wolf owns a heightened perception to hearing and smell. Their muscular bodies can pin down an enemy when weakened, although many are too proud to ruffle their pelts in that sort of dirty work. Like people, they specialize in certain areas of skill.
Vaughan - Vaughan's muscular and heavy frame could easily strike an opponent down, yet he specializes in sound release. He owns a sharp, hollow bark that could disorientate or tatter your eardrums. Naturally, the weakness/counter to sound ninjutsu is using a stronger wind jutsu or a very efficient shield.
Yvette - This sweet darling would really not want to fight, she absolutely abhors it, but if an equal calls for help - she will be faithfully there with her skilled knowledge in very precise chakra control, creating usage in genjutsu. She will never, ever use the type of genjutsu that causes horrific or unusual pain, although genjutsus only present fallacy pain.
Saffron - Despite always being absolutely bored and disgusted by his surrounding atmosphere, he is very adept with sensory skills. All maned wolves carry the ability to use a sense of smell and hearing that is far more superior to humans, yet his tracking skills excel the whole of his pack. He's one of the best trackers you'll ever see, and quite a brilliant investigator when he puts his mind to the subject on hand. Which is almost never.
Having the ability to supress chakra or create clever diversions to confuse this unconcerned mutt will help save your ungrateful skin, though.
Maelstrom - Water release techniques, yet only from water sources nearby.
JUTSUVAUGHAN (sound release)
Wind and heavy earth shields can cut through or stop sound attacks.
- TECHNIQUE: Amplified Voice Technique
RANK: D-A
TYPE: Offensive
RANGE: Close to mid.
DESCRIPTION: Using this, Vaughan's larynx is concentrated with enough chakra to create a voice that reaches an inhuman frequency - over 200 hertz. A quick, sharp bark with this pitch may cause disorientation (at D-rank), temporary deafness/bleeding ears, brain injury, and the shattering of glass/bones (at A-rank).- TECHNIQUE: Heat Conversion Technique
RANK: B
TYPE: Offensive
RANGE: Close to far.
DESCRIPTION: Sound is converted into heat energy (which is actually possible, I actually learned something from physics class) to 'melt' or 'burn/blister' most objects (a thick wall of concrete will be melted into liquid) or people. It's created and released the same way as all my other sound techniques, concentrating chakra into the larynx and barking.- TECHNIQUE: Ultrasonic Conversion Technique
RANK: B
TYPE: Offensive
RANGE: Close to mid.
DESCRIPTION: A focused, precise beam of chakra-infused sound is converted into ultrasonic waves (which is just a type of sound energy), creating a blast overpressure. This shockwave of sound damages internal organs (by killing organ cells, or slowing down their processes) and causes blunt trauma.- TECHNIQUE: Seismic Earthquake Technique
RANK: C-S
TYPE: Offensive
RANGE: Close to far.
DESCRIPTION: By concentrating chakra into the pads of his paws, Vaughan strikes the ground with his feet to create a series of vibrations, creating an earthquake. A C-ranked version of this may cause dizzying disorientation, while a full-blown S-rank will create a devastating earthquake that crumbles buildings.- TECHNIQUE: Infrasonic Conversion Technique
RANK: C
TYPE: Offensive
RANGE: Close to mid.
DESCRIPTION: Almost the opposite to the ultrasonic technique. A focused, precise beam of chakra-infused sound is converted into infrasonic waves (which is just a type of sound energy under 20 hertz), causing nausea and making you one big icky puking mess.- TECHNIQUE: Pressure Conversion Technique
RANK: C
TYPE: Offensive
RANGE: Close to mid.
DESCRIPTION: Sound is converted into pressure, which is sent into as a growling vibration towards an opponent if they're caught in a small enclosed trap. The pressure felt by the opponent causes deep joint aches, confusion, paralysis, shortness of breath and fatigue.- TECHNIQUE: Sound Projectile Technique
RANK: C
TYPE: Offensive
RANGE: Close to far.
DESCRIPTION: By creating a low growl in the depths of his larynx while mixing chakra, a slowly-made projectile of sound is created. This projectile's 'shape' is released by a quick bark, and is shaped by the way the bark is pitched. A sharp bark creates a shuriken-like shape, a high-pitched whine produces a senbon-like shape, while a dull howl fashions a blunt-figured projectile and so on. They begin to lose shape and lethality if the opponent is too far away. The projectiles, despite being made from sound, are not invisible - they were mixed with chakra after all. They have a faint bluish glow that can be seen and therefore dodged.- TECHNIQUE: Vocal Cord Break
RANK: B
TYPE: Offensive
RANGE: Close to mid.
DESCRIPTION: Slightly similar to the sound projectile technique; Vaughan creates a small, balled-up packet of extremely chakra-infused sound in his throat. He spits it out with deadly accuracy into his opponent's larynx, where the 'bullet' opens up to painfully shatter his opponent's voicebox. While the voicebox is being ruptured, it is much harder to use chakra-based jutsus (eg. nin/gen) because they need to be spoken. Without eventual medical help, the opponent will be muted for life.- TECHNIQUE: Amplified Voice Technique: Shield
RANK: C
TYPE: Defensive
RANGE: Close
DESCRIPTION: This is similar to the Amplified Voice Technique, as it also requires an accumulation of chakra to the larynx. But instead of barking, Vaughan will need to submit a continuous wave of growling to send a vibrational shield before him.- TECHNIQUE: Mimicry Technique
RANK: E
TYPE: Supplementary
RANGE: Close to far
DESCRIPTION: By using the mimicry technique, Vaughan's tone and pitch of voice can be manipulated to deceive the ears of opponents, by giving false orders. With this ability, he may also create non-human noises, such as a hawk's cry or the pattering of distant footsteps.- TECHNIQUE: Surroundings Manipulation Technique
RANK: E
TYPE: Supplementary
RANGE: Close to mid.
DESCRIPTION: Surroundings are manipulated to be amplified or muted. Hearing and/or concentration becomes nearly impossible when bordering din is intensified, while sneaking up is much easier when your opponent can't hear your footsteps. Also helpful when you don't want anyone to hear your conversation.- TECHNIQUE: Secret Message Technique
RANK: E
TYPE: Supplementary
RANGE: Close to far
DESCRIPTION: By applying this technique, Vaughan can quickly send a short message into the ears of a teammate within a reasonable distance. His voice can weaken greatly by the distance traveled, though.
YVETTE (genjutsu)
- Journey into Black Darkness Technique (A-rank)
- Sly Mind Affect Technique (C-rank)
- Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique (C-rank)
- Mist Servant Technique (D-rank)
- Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique (D-rank)
- TECHNIQUE: Quicksand Technique
RANK: C
TYPE: Genjutsu
RANGE: Close to mid
DESCRIPTION: The ground beneath the opponent's feet will seem to become liquefied, sucking at their feet until they're pulled deeply into the depths of the cold muck. Thrashing and panicking will only help loosen the ground, creating a swifter fall. Swallowed within the 'quicksand', the opponent will feel the stifling pressures of the quicksand on their chest, and will find it unbearably difficult to breathe. It's cold too, but that's probably the least of your worries when you're trying to refill your oxygen-depleted lungs. The illusion is instantly broken if you're a clever one that realizes that the Hollywood-sensationalized version of quicksand doesn't truly exist. Real quicksand won't drag you down past your waist.- TECHNIQUE: Maze Technique
RANK: B
TYPE: Genjutsu
RANGE: Close to mid
DESCRIPTION: With this genjutsu employed, a series of interconnected walls created from the same material as the floor will erupt suddenly around the opponent. The vast maze is never-ending and unbearably quiet, where the opponent could run forever or use any sort of jutsu to cut through the maze yet with no avail. It'll only seem as though more walls grow in the place of broken ones. The opponent will even feel as though they are eventually becoming fatigued after a period of time of sorting through the dense maze. However, the illusion is casted on the price of a high amount of chakra that the user must hold steadily throughout.
SAFFRON (sensory)
- Mind's Eye of the Kagura [5 km limit]
- Chakra Suppression Technique [Will be unable to use any other sort of technique under this.]
- TECHNIQUE: Echolocation Technique
RANK: B
TYPE: Supplementary
RANGE: All ranges
DESCRIPTION: By manipulating the pitch and tone of his bark into an extremely high pitch that is beyond human hearing range, Saffron sends a sound wave mixed with his energy over a vast amount of territory in a short period of time. The sound waves will hit nearby objects, human or not, so that Saffron will gain information of his surroundings if his vision is hindered. He gains much detail from this - how big the object is, which direction it is moving to, and the position of it.
This is more of an 'ability' rather than a 'technique' but here we go:- TECHNIQUE: Chakra Accumulation Technique
RANK: B
TYPE: Supplementary
RANGE: Self
DESCRIPTION: Saffron gathers his chakra to be focused on only one vantage point - the ears, nose, or eyes. It gives him heightened, concentrated response to stimuli and enhanced range to use his senses. When his raw chakra is centered within his ears, his hearing becomes extremely accurate and precise but he'll still be able to sort through all of the surrounding stimuli. He'll hear the dip and flux of a lying voice, the splitting of wind as a projectile is hurled, and the tiniest heartbeat within the din of a busy crowd.
When energy is concentrated to his eyes; his eyesight becomes finely tuned, his visual range is extended (400 ft?), and every little detail or slight movement is picked up. If chakra is gathered to his nose, all scents are intensified and even the tiniest trail previously washed away by rain still has a trace to Saffron. It's harder to pull away the scents to focus on only one, as all scents can mix and mingle, ultimately leaving a dead trail.
MAELSTROM (water release)
- Giant Waterfall Technique (A-rank)
- Water Encampment Wall (B-rank)
- Tornado of Water (B-rank)
- Water Prison Technique (C-rank)
- Water Clone Technique (C-rank)
- Starch Syrup Capture Field (C-rank)
- Hidden Mist Technique (D-rank)
- TECHNIQUE: Water Vapor Technique
RANK: E
TYPE: Supplementary
RANGE: Close
DESCRIPTION: If there is no large sources of water nearby, Maelstrom can use her chakra to gather in the humidity of the air around her.- TECHNIQUE: Water Shield Technique
RANK: C
TYPE: Defensive
RANGE: Close to mid
DESCRIPTION: By manipulation the water around her, Maelstrom can create a tall shield (10 ft) to help push away from most attacks, although this technique only lasts for a few seconds on one turn before disintegrating into mist.
