Sand, thats about it. Sure there is the occasional oasis or village, Sunagakure for one, but mostly just barren desert. Good place to find a cactus.

| Land of Lightning (Kaminari no Kuni) (2 sub-boards)
A region surrounded by tall mountainous peaks. Travel here is hard for the inexperienced often involving a lot of climbing, but it is here that Kumogakure is based. Travel of this region can be dangerous for the inexperienced.

| Land of Earth (Tsuchi no Kuni) (2 sub-boards)
An area of extremely rocky terrain where earthen formations are commonplace. It is within the higher regions of this area that Iwagakure is based. Due to the terrain itself, rock slides and mud slides are common making travel dangerous.

Being water locked, surrounded by warmer water, a mist seems to blanket the landscape most of the time. It is within this area that Kirigakure is located. Those who are inexperienced with the terrain may become lost easily.

| Land of Iron (Tetsu no Kuni) (1 sub-board)
An icy, snow-covered country. It is politically unusual in that it has remained neutral and never been involved in the ninja wars. In fact, the shinobi have a rule since long ago that they would not meddle with the land. Despite this, it is said to have an incredibly strong military which is manned by samurai, instead of ninja.

| Land of Sound (Oto no Kuni) (2 sub-boards)
A neighboring country to the Land of Fire formerly known as the Land of Rice Fields. It is here that Otogakure is located. While originally centered around the gathering of experiments, it has grown into a country of its own right.

A small, but industrious country where the rain seems to fall almost endlessly. It is here where Amegakure is based. Though the country has made much work to recover from wars, some areas are still scarred from battle to the day.

A country filled with lush green grass and plants as far as the eye can see. It is here that Kusagakure is based. Due to its lower status, it has served as a battlefield in multiple ninja wars in the past.

A lush country filled with rivers that lead into waterfalls flowing endlessly. Within one of these many waterfalls lies Takigakure. In spite of having a shinobi village, it remains to be a peaceful country.

A country that lies deep to the north of the mainland, often covered in snow during the winter. Deep within the mountains of country lies Yukigakure. Rather than being ruled over by a daimyō, it is instead governed by a royal family.

A small non-shinobi country that trains and releases many upon many messenger birds, making it the most inter-commutative country in the world.

A small country that lies at the borders of both the Lands of Fire and Wind. Much of this country is taken up by running rivers, making for good passages out to sea.

A small country that lies close to the Land of Fire consisting of two islands in which an annual race is held. The country is famous for its numerous tea houses scattered throughout said to make the best tea in the country.
