INTELLIGENT: Intelligent and being clever - is there really a difference, or is it simply a matter of preference, choice of how to put it? To Lin, it doesn't really matter, because he's as much of a brain when it comes to moves and strategies as he is a smart-alec and overall secretive little brat. The pride in his little heart is his brain, ability to think fast in battle situations and even in normal conversations, in accordance to those people that throw him curveballs in conversations and things like that (insults, can't get enough of them). Though it might get difficult to communicate with him sometimes, Lin likes to mesh both intelligence and clever into a single word, as crude as it sounds - smart.

CLAN TECHNIQUESJutsu Name: Nagahara blood seal

Jutsu Details: This Hi-fuinjutsu, is like any other clan blood seal. However only a Nagahara can deactivate the seal, even if someone else has blood from the Nagahara. The seal itself allows the user to seal objects into scrolls, into a seal on a person, or on an object. The bloodseal is mainly used to hide the entrance to the Nagahara's secret base/lab, keep written documents of the Nagahara's experiments sealed in a scroll, or hold other objects into a seal on a person. The seal is deactivated by the clan member, taking some of there blood and swiping it across the seal and channel chakra into the seal. This is like most clan blood seals, however the Nagahara clan blood seal needs the clan member to manipulate their chakra and Lockpick the Seal's combination lock.

Jutsu Details: This Hi-jutsu uses the Nagahara clan's Kekkai genkai to shape their chakra into weapons. The weapon acts just like a normal weapon, except for the fact that it is ethereal and is a not as durable as a normal weapon. Though the weapons if created using Elemental chakra, the weapons gain natural attributes of the elements the chakra is natured as.

Jutsu Details: This Hi-jutsu allows the clan member to place their hand on an object or building and channel chakra into it. The chakra then goes through the object and meticulously copying everything about the object or building. Then after it is done, the chakra comes back to the user and gives them a chakra model of the building. It cannot detect any living people inside the building, but if any seals or non-living objects are in the building it will show those.
SEALING/BARRIER TECHNIQUES
Finger Carving Seal-The user concentrates chakra into their finger and using the heat from that, can apply writing of whatever they want to a surface. This technique however requires them to be very delicate with their chakra control. This technique causes slight discomfort for a living target and if it is on flesh, it will scar.
Five-Seal Barrier-This technique creates a barrier around a place by placing four "Forbidden" (禁, kin) tags in different locations surrounding the place to be protected, a fifth tag on the location to be protected. The tags are placed on flat surfaces, and are connected with the user's chakra. This technique turns the entire range surrounded by the tags into a barrier space, and inside the space, the material destruction is "forbidden". Using any kind of physical attack to try and destroy something in the barrier is folly, as it will only lead to injury. To cancel this, it is necessary to search for the four tags and tear them off simultaneously. Meaning there must be at least five people on a team to cancel it.
Even if the barrier is broken, there is a final obstacle. The user can add a trap that will create perfect copies of those who have removed the seal, preventing them from returning immediately.
Generic Sealing Technique-This technique is a standard ninja skill which allows a ninja to summon an assortment of items that have been stored using fūinjutsu. Scrolls are the most common choice for item storage. When needed, the owner will activate the seals releasing their item or weapon of choice. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons or have other seals inside of them, which expands the number of potential tricks a shinobi can use.
Three-Seal Barrier-Similar to the Five-Seal Barrier technique, instead the user places three seals around their location. If any one manages to enter through a secret entrance of the protected hideout, a deep mist is created and the only way to get rid of it is remove the tags around the protected area.
EARTH TECHNIQUES
Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique-This technique conceals the user underground and drags the object of their attack down into the earth, robbing them of their freedom. In addition, they can start another attack.
Earth Release: Bedrock Coffin-This technique allows the user to control multiple sections of rock and move them around their opponent. The user then forms two gigantic sections that crush the opponent.
Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet-When used with Earth Release: Earth Flow River, this technique can create a dragon-like head to fire balls of mud at an opponent. This can also be combined with a fire technique to shoot searing hot rock towards an opponent.
Earth Release: Hiding in Rock Technique-This is a technique that allows its user to blend into rocks and then move in and out of other rocks undetected.
Earth Release: Hiding Like a Mole Technique-This technique changes earth into fine sand by channelling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. This effect goes around the body (not just the hands), making it just large enough for a person to move through. The user can pinpoint where they are, despite being underground, by sensing the magnetic forces. They can also sense what is happening on the surface and use that information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy.One can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy can't reach. It also appears that after digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth.
Earth Release: Earth Shaking Palm-This technique is used to distract opponents as well as leave them disorientated. The user performs the hand sign and then slams their palm on the ground. The result is the ground becoming heavily turned up with chunks of rubble popping out of the ground. This distraction can be useful for the user to then make an escape, or to initiate an attack.
Earth Release: Rock Pillar Spears-This technique lets the user create a few rock pillars that will protrude from the ground to skew the target. The rock pillars will even pass through obstacles to reach their target.
Earth Release: Rock Pillar Prison Technique-This technique creates a large amount of rock pillars from under ground. They can then be controlled to surround their opponent and create a bamboo-like thicket of rock.
Earth Release: Tearing Earth Turning Palm-This technique causes the ground surrounding the enemy to spiral inwards on itself, burying them alive or crushing them. This technique is capable of causing quite a bit of damage to the area. This technique is much more damaging if used in rocky mountainous areas, or inside a cave.
Earth Release: Tunneling Technique-The technique allows the user to create tunnels in the ground. The large tunnel that is created allows the user to transport others without detection.
Earth Release: Underground Projection Fish Technique-This technique is used for sneaking and striking silently, like a fish underwater, and then suddenly appearing to the ground's surface.[2] Furthermore, it's even more efficient when employed in a crowded area that, if the target notices something, can be overrun by the nearby masses, or with distractions like a Clone Technique to draw the enemy's attention. As such it is a great strategy for a guerilla, and a likely resort, used quite often for things such as assassination.
Mudshot Technique-The user shoots mud from their mouth at an enemy; the chakra-enhanced mud is able to trap and slow an opponent down.
Earth Release: Earth Flow Wave-The user creates and rides a wave of earth that can branch off to attack from a distance. The user can also use it to manipulate the terrain and hold the opponent in place.
OTHER
Chakra Rope-This technique allows the ninja to extend their chakra out of their body into binding ropes. The chakra is said to be uncuttable.
Haze Clone Technique-At first glance it seems like a regular Clone Technique, but the Haze Clone uses a cunning trap to lure out the enemy. Using this technique together with the Earth Release: Underground Projection Fish Technique, the enemy is led to believe that the real body is among the clones. As the Haze Clones are not physically real, the attack will just pass through them. While attention is drawn to the clones, the real body attacks from the blind spot. During the illusion and resulting chaos, the enemy, who is caught up in the technique, can be easily defeated.
Background: The Nagahara clan is a very old clan. This clan's traits were passed down from generation to generation, but for Lin's side of the family, it was kept secret. Until around the time that Soren was born, Lin's side of the family lived in Iwagakure. The family was cursed with only bearing girls, and it wasn't until Lin was born that the curse was broken. His mom was a modest Shinobi, and bore the Nagahara clan abilities with pride.
She had most of the clan secrets inside her base located under the garden in their home. Though being a child of a gallant warrior, Lin was born in crime. Most people loafed her, and wanted her for themselves, but she wanted to remain chased. Late one night after drinking heavily with friends after a mission, a group of men took advantage of her, and that conceived Lin.
Though most didn't like the idea of a bastard child running around the village, Lin's mother wanted to raise him to pass on the secrets of the Nagahara clan. She raised him teaching him the basics of the Nagahara clan as he entered and graduated the academy. He took and passed the Chunnin Exams at 14.
His mother eventually married and had other children, these children though, do not posses the Nagahara traits. Lin's mother showed favoritism to him showing him the secret base and how to get to it. Yet before he could learn the next step in his training, his mother died of child birth. The grief of her death caused Lin's stepfather to become an Alcoholic, and eventually killing himself. This left Lin to care for his 5 younger brothers and sisters by himself. It's been a decade since then, and Lin has matured more.
