The high velocity of the spiralling couple was enough to deem Rinji's fire release. His brows knitted in deep thought, tensely pondering on how the two could be defeated. He didn't want to hurt his opponents, but he needed them to be decapitated for long enough for him to steal a headband from the other boy. The kunai that Rinji had thrown previously, wrapped in explosive paper, hooked their sharp tips into the fractured ground. The two were soon enveloped in their own acceleration, appearing like funnels of tornado. If I knew what they were doing, they'd be easier to defeat. They were just overhead now, and he felt the winds cut against his skin. Rinji swerved to the side, away from what he thought was the falling perimeter. They'll land heavily. It'll take a moment for them to regain balance once on the ground. I can use that moment of hesitation... and their attack must have a high amount of energy too. The Iwagakure genin jerked his gaze upwards, and kicked off into the rustling foliage of a high branch. With swift fingers, he knotted a length of metal wire to a shruiken. His blue occuli returned to the boy and his wolf, waiting for the exact moment that they would reach the forest floor.
Making use of the extra time that he had gained by forcing the Hyuuga to move from one side to the other to dodge his lava, Akatsuchi would perform a set of hansigns all while keeping a close watch on her, pivoting to make sure she didn't get behind him. He needed to time his next attack just right for it to work. At the point that she came at him for her strike, Akatsuchi would drop down to his knees to avoid the strike and finish his jutsu. "Doton. Earth Dome." Akatsuchi would say slamming down his hand to the ground as rocks rise up to form a half dome to defend him. Due to the formation timing, the rocks would close around the Hyuuga's arm jamming it between rocks.

Bakuhatsu threw marbles of clay into the wave of insects then immediately threw some more in an arc so as to land next to the Aburame. She prepared to perform her Body Replacement technique in which she would leave a strawberry sized blob of clay. She ran in, ready for the explosion to clear away the bugs and damage the Aburame.
Getting knocked back into a tree the Aburame would collapse to the ground his spine about to break from that hit.
With her armed trapped the Hyuuga girl would try to push on the rock with her free hand and remove her arm, yet there was no luck in doing so.
The boy and his wolf would hit the ground and look up to there target. "Get down here and fight like a man!" he would cry out to Rinji waiting for his move. Impatient though the boy would get ready for another fang over fang, spinning in at Rinji once able.
The boy waited patiently, and swung his arm at the exact moment his opponent reached the forest floor. Not a second was wasted. Three bullets of flaming pyro erupted from the dark foliage, but all missed and landed past Rinji's opponents. It was only a distraction after the Iwagakure boy quickly lashed the two skuriken he had been holding immediately after finishing his hand seals, the gleam of silver hidden behind the distraction of the previous shots of flame. The glimmer of metal wire that was tied onto the two weapons were also hidden in the dark shade of the tree that Rinji had taken refuge in. In this, the two would hopefully be caught wrapped in the ninja wire before he hurled a stream of fire down the length of the fastener. If that didn't work, the kunais with the explosive notes were still hooked within the perimeters of the ground.
Taken in by the flames of explosion the wolf and his boy would be burnt from head to toe. They merely fell this time on to the ground, and passed out. The burning pain was just to much for them. The Aburame was out cold, so was the boy and his wolf. The Hyuuga herself was trapped in the mound of earth that her arm got caught in. Completely unable to break free.
Flipping down from the tree tops Powa would arrive to see a hand full of genin. Half out, and half in. "Well you bassically just captured their headbands so In the sake of time ... You've passed! now please head to the hidden stadium at the center of the turtle so we may begin the next part." And with that he was gone once again, vanished into the air like some sort of poof. Off the the next group Powa went.
"You've passed! now please head to the hidden stadium at the center of the turtle so we may begin the next part." "Thanks, Chuunin Exams Proctor- Sensei!" Rinji bounded forward to his scorched opponents and gladly ripped the broiled headband off from the boy. Playing with the soft fabric in his fingers, he marvelled at his new trophy, and his parents at home would soon hear of an excessively inflated story about how Rinji had taken down a whole group of Konohagakure ANBU with his fire release and how the forehead protector was the only thing to have survived in the incineration. He stuffed it into his pocket and pivoted to face his teammates, an endearing smile upon his face. His fingers were burnt from concentrating the fire-chakra onto his hands, but that was a price that seemed nothing for advancing to the next stage.
Akatsuchi would prepare his training for the finals deciding to develop his Earth jutsu some more for his matches in the Finals. Thinking back to the Earth users that Akatsuchi had seen during the course of the exams, a lot of them seemed to have used techniques to allow for them to go underground, something that seemed especially useful in combination with his Yoton. With such a strategy in mind, Akatsuchi knew that there was one that he had seen in the past that really impressed him in its use; Hiding Like a Mole Technique. With that, he would be able to set up his attacks while keeping his opponent unable to follow him.
Getting started on his decided jutsu, Akatsuchi would think back to the times that it had been demonstrated to him, having an idea of what the handsigns had been for the jutsu. He just needed to get the focus of his Earth chakra correct. Kneeling down against the ground, Akatsuchi would do the handsigns as he remembered them, focusing his earth chakra in a similar way to his use of Earth Dome, reaching out into the earth attempting to dig into the earth. The ground in front of his would collapse into a shallow hole but not quite what he needed.
Attempting the jutsu a second time, Akatsuchi would focus the chakra in a different manner, focusing it to changing the texture of the earth to allow easier passage rather than simply digging into it. As a result of this attempt, the earth would seem to change in appearance at the hole the original had created. Stepping out onto it, Akatsuchi would decide to test this out.
Jumping down into the created hole, Akatsuchi would find that the dirt had a sand-like quality to it now. Akatsuchi would crouch down and begin to focus his chakra on the earth around him wanting to know what the limits of the jutsu were. The earth chakra that he released into the earth around him would continue its effect of softening the earth around him as though it was making space for him while he moved. A short way in, Akatsuchi would decide to take a look at his progress. There had seemed to be only one problem with it, while it had made a hole, it would not have closed off the other side.
Trying to figure out what the problem with the jutsu had been, Akatsuchi would decide to approach the jutsu from a different angle. Doing the handsigns a second time, rather than focusing his chakra outward, Akatsuchi would instead focus on keeping the chakra simply coating his own body. Reaching down to touch the ground, it would seem to have a similar effect to his previous attempt in that the ground would soften into a gravel-like state. Moving as if to dig into it, Akatsuchi would find that the ground seemed to part as he entered into it, digging down as he moved. In addition, the ground would seem to return to its normal form behind him as he moved through it. Coming back up to the surface, Akatsuchi would see that it had worked and there was no sign of his entry.
Talib came to what is today known as the "Eastside of the Turtle" for a very particular reason. He was planning on stealing a powerful jutsu that would push his skills as a shinobi to new heights. However, before he could go through with his plan, he'd need to learn an important jutsu. This was a very special jutsu that he had begun to develop a few weeks ago. It was a seal that forced the person sealed to answer any question they were asked. It was the ultimate interrogation technique that would prove most useful in his quest.
For this learning session he brought only his body and a mind willing to learn. This jutsu could only be performed by a skilled Fuinjutsu user, something that Talib already was. He began by memorizing the needed handseals and focusing chakra onto his palms. After a few tries, he could only get about 1/8 of the seal on his palm. This wouldn't work -- he would need all of the seal for the jutsu to work.
Talib continued his efforts at learning this jutsu. He'd need to use the needed chakra for the seal wisely. He didn't want to tire himself out too quickly. He was having a hard time gauging the needed amount of chakra, however. The jutsu would only work if the needed amount of chakra was met perfectly. Up to this point, Talib could get close but not reach the exact amount. Regardless, he continued his efforts.
His continued efforts proved successful. He was quickly making progress, this time being able to get most of the seal on his hand. It wouldn't be long before he would be able to perform the seal. He took a seat on a nearby log, happy with his progress. At this rate he'd be able to go out on his quest in a reasonable timeframe.
Talib sprang up from his resting place, ready to give the jutsu another go. Last time he had been able to accomplish getting more than half of the seal on his palm. He was almost there -- he could feel it. He just needed a little more. He needed to learn this technique if he wanted to accomplish his goal. It was of utmost importance that he not only learn it, but master it.
Talib tried again, and again, and again. Little progress was being made, but he smiled as the sweat beads began rolling down his forehead. Each time he did it a bit more of the seal would appear. He was extremely close to learning the jutsu. He looked up at the sun and realized that it was almost noon. This was good. He was ahead of schedule. He just needed to practice a few more times and he would have it...
