"Well that was easy!" Rikuto joked coughing up some blood as he simultaneously whipped the blood off his sword. Sheathing it, Rikuto took lean on Romaji. "Sevens Swordsman-" He dozed a little still woozy from the liger bomb. "-All the wa-" He passed out on Romaji.
Amaya would return to some familiar territory, heading to the tail of the Island Turtle to do some of her training for the Finals. Thinking back to her match in the preliminaries, her Buushin had been able to help her out a lot but the fact that it was matterless, it could never help as more than just a distraction. That thought would give Amaya an idea. If she could combine her lightning chakra with a clone, it could be more damaging than it lets on.
Amaya would think back to the method that they had originally be taught on the formation of a Buushin. It used chakra that lacked any kind of affinity. Maybe if she were to try this process while focusing her lighting chakra into the formed clone, she would be able to gain a different result than just a puff of smoke when it dispersed. It would be something that she would have to get some practice in it, but it could work out for her.
With her thoughts in mind, Amaya would form the regular handsigns needed for the Buushin no jutsu, however instead of merely focusing on the copying of her appearance, she would also focus some of her lightning based chakra into the creation as well. This first attempt at this would end in a failure as the clone bursts from instability. Knowing that the clones from the Academy would fail due to the focus and balance being off within them, Amaya would try the jutsu a second time, attempting to use less of the nature chakra in its formation. This clone would form but would seem to crackle from its stance and when dispersed it would only release a small bit of lighting chakra.
Thinking to her previous attempts with the clone failing, Amaya would realize that she had gotten the balance between nature and regular chakra completely wrong. Learning from tha failures, Amaya would attempt the justsu one last time, this time combining the Lightning chakra and basic chakra in equal intervals. As the smoke of the Buushin cleared, an exact copy of Amaya stood in front of her.
" Only one way to know if this worked right." Amaya would say to herself backing up from the clone, picking up a rock from the ground and tossing ti at it. At the moment the rock hit, the clone would dispuse but instead of smoke coming up, an array of lighting would form on the spot knocking the rock to the ground. " Worked perfectly." Amaya would say looking at the results of her technique. She had managed to creat a new kind of Buushin, that while still matterless, came with a dangerous kick.
Keeping up with her training, Amaya would come up with another idea that could be of use for her in the Finals. While she hadn't gotten to use any of her flash bombs in the preliminaries, she was in a limited supply. Thinking of how jutsu like Raikyuu had seemed to create their own kind of light Amaya would come up with the idea of taking that natural light to use for her advantage. Thinking of the properties of a flash of lightning, Amaya would begin to think of just how she could recreate that effect in the form of a jutsu.
With that thought in mind, Amaya would focus her Lightning chakra attempting to harness it in its purest state. Rather than attempting to focus on the damage of the attack, she was only after the light from it. For this, Amaya would think back to the training that she had gone through in order to learn how to control Lightning Release. For this she would have to stop short of the complete control. Focusing it to her hand, she would begin to form a sphere of light between her hands that would look like a less stable Raikyuu. The sphere would soon fade, but Amaya had the general idea of it.
Going off of the idea of how she could use the incomplete Lightning Chakra within her jutsu idea, Amaya would attempt to gain some practice with it. Using her idea of Raikyuu again, Amaya would stop the formation of the jutsu short of the physical form of the sphere, instead harnessing it in an incomplete state. Due to the previous attempt's failure, she attempts to compensate the unstable form of the ball with basic chakra. The result of this attempt would would cause for the ball to take on a more solid, but clear form. Deciding to test out the jutsu, Amaya would throw the sphere towards the nearby tree. Due to the nature of the ball, it would burst on contact, creating a flash of light that would flash over the area. " Looks like that one worked out great." Amaya would say shielding her eyes from the bright flash of light.
With the smaller things out of the way, Amaya would focus this time on trying to use her swordsmanship with her ninjutsu to further strengthen it. She had seen some of the adults do some amazing things by doing the same thing. To do that, Amaya knew that she would have to run a current of her chakra through her weapon and use that chakra to strengthen it. With that in mind, Amaya would draw her sword prepared to attempt the focusing.
Focusing the chakra into the sword, she wouldn't notice any kind of difference to the appearance or nature of the blade. From the looks of things, this was going to be more complicated than she originally thought it would be.
Seeing that there wasn't any kind of change with her chakra focus, she decided to go with something a bit more familiar to her, her Ranton chakra. Having used this chakra since she was younger even for just playing around, this chakra was much more familiar to her and as such, she was much more flexible with it. Holding onto the blade, Amaya would begin to focus on he blade, imagining the blade as being an extension of the lasers that her kekkei genkai created in her jutsu. Focusing this into the blade of her sword, the sword would begin to glow a faint blue color as though lit up with a light. " I wonder just what this will be able to do for me in battle." Amaya would say looking to test just what she would be able to do with the jutsu in combat.
Taking her time to practice this jutsu, Amaya would make use of the traps that she had set up while they were on the island turtle. Knowing the exact setup to them, she was in no danger of getting caught in them. Starting out small, she tests the power of her slashes on a nearby tree. Jumping up towards the tree, she slashes at the branch growing from the side of it. Much to her surprise and delight, the blade would cut right through the branch like a hot knife through butter. The power of her Ranton seemed to have greatly increased her sword's cutting ability, something that would be especially useful with her ability with the sword.
Continuing with her practice, Amaya would take full advantage of her trapped area. Cutting through the wire that had held her trapped kunai in place, the kunai would be flung towards her location. Using her strengthened blade, Amaya would easily parry the oncoming kunai away, sending them to the ground glowing slightly from the heat of her blade. She would then decide to give it its greatest test. Tripping the wires the released the kuani with an explosion tag attached, Amaya would focus on the chakra as though it was one of her lasers. Doing this, the chakra within the blade would be discharged from the tip, blasting the oncoming kunai, shooting it into the air where it explodes harmlessly. " Amazing."Amaya would say not having expected such results from the technique.
Deciding to try to learn one more jutsu, Amaya would think back to just what it was that she could learn now. Wanting to expand more on her Ranton, she would decide that that was going to be what she worked with next. Thinking to her Laser Circus, she would decide that she wanted to be able to catch her opponent by surprise with an attack. Thinking of what an effective means of attacking was, she decided on an aerial strike onto her opponent. It wouldn't be as accurate but it would still be effective.
Amaya would decide to make use of Laser Circus as a baseline for her new attack. Starting up a string of handsigns similar to it, Amaya would focus on on her Ranton chakra but would make use of her chakra control in order to change the course and form of the jutsu. Instead of allowing for the jutsu to form completely, she would instead stop it at a halo surrounding her hands. Compressing that energy into a ball it would form an unstable form
Generating the unstable ball of Ranton energy, Amayaa would decide to test out just what the technique could do. Holding onto the ball of energy Amaya would throw it high into the air. The ball of Ranton chakra would keep on rising up into the air until it reached its maximum height. At that point, the ball of energy would suddenly explode raining down lasers from above onto the field.
Wanting to make sure that she had the jutsu down, Amaya would decide to go through the cycle of the jutsu one more time. Doing the set of handsigns, agaiain, she would focus the chakra to her hands creating an unstable ball of Ranton energy. Taking the ball Amaya would throw it up high into the air above a nearby tree. The ball would reach its maximum height before exploding into a rain of lasers, the postency of her normal lasers. Tired out from all the training she did, Amaya would wipe her forehead and lay back. " I think that I'm done now." She would say catching her breath from her hard training.
